Diamond CPVU-8 Vertical for Shortwave and V/UHF

CPVU-8

Vertical antenna for shortwave and V/UHF. A small antenna for radio amateurs with space restrictions. Allows operation on 80, 40, 20, 15 und 10m, plus VHF 2m and UHF 70cm! Gain on 2m is 2.1dBi, on 70cm 5.5dBi. Max. power 200W SSB (3.5 - 50 MHz), 150W FM (50 - 440MHz). Total length 2.7m, length of five lower radials approx. 1.5m, weight 2.4kg, max. wind speed 125km/h. For operation on HF no further radials are required! The center frequency can be adjusted for each band. Due to the shortened design of the antenna the usable bandwith can be limited, a tuner might be required.

... in well known Diamond quality. Length approx. 6m, 500W SSB (250W on 80m), connector PL female. Tubes made from extruded aluminium, other hardware stainless steel. Max.wind speed for unguyed antenna is 130km/h, weight only 2.9kg. Includes mast clamps for mast diameter from 30 to 62mm.

For low radiation angles a radial system (not included) or a good grounding is required, as with any quarter wave groundplane. And as with all shortened antennas the useable bandwidth on 80m is limited. The resonant frequency can be freely selected, when operating far off the resonance frequency a tuner is required.

Radial kits

Radialkit 80/40/30m

Radials for vertical antennas. Consist of two λ/4 wires per band. Uses PVC coated braided copper wire 1.5mm². Includes solder lugs on one end for easy connection to ground post.

These radial kits can be used for elevated antennas (not ground mounted). The radials should be installed so that they do not touch the ground, nor the roof nor any other obstacle. If the vertical antenna should be installed on the ground other radials are required (at least as long as the antenna is high, better longer, as many as possible, not less than 10).

Shortened multiband Groundplane antenna for all bands incl. WARC bands

MV5+3: 6/10/12/15/17/20/30/40 m

Total length only approx 3m (MV-10: 4.5m), transport length only 1m (MV-10: 1.35m), setup in 5 minutes, very sutiable for portable operation, fits in any car trunk.
The resonance frequencies are adjusted for each band separately (except 10 and 12m, which influence each other slightly and might require a tuner). The antenna is made from extruded aluminium tubes, all mounting hardware except mast clamp is stainless steel.
The antenna works on all bands as a quarter wave vertical. Like any such antenna it requires a good counterpoise (radials, conducting surface). Max. power load 200 W, connector PL female.

Diamond BB-7V Wideband vertical antenna

QRV on all bands, even with restricted space... the BB-7V antenna is 6.7m long and has a max. power load of 250W PEP. The SWR above 3MHz is, depending on surroundings, at 2:1 or better. On some bands a simple tuner is required, the built-in tuners of many rigs are usually sufficient. The BB-7V is a wideband antenna, so it works also outside the amateur bands. Simple installation, no alignment required. The antenna does not require radials, the radiator is grounded.
Connector PL jack, the small transport length only 1.3m makes this antenna also suitable for camping or other portable uses, weight 3kg.

DIAMOND CP-6

Diamond multiband vertical HF antenna with shortened radials for 6, 10, 15, 20, 40, 80m. Total height only 4.8m, length of radials approx. 1.8m. Usual high quality finish and easy mounting, as known by Diamond products. Max. power load 200W PEP, SWR <1.5, tuneable by adjusting lengths of radials. Includes mast clamps (30 to 62mm) and PL connector. The radials can be installed on one side only if space restriction requires. The radiator of the CP-6 is DC-grounded which gives a good protection against static charges and nearby lightnings.

R-1 Radial
80m radial for 3'575 to 3'650kHz for CP-6. For a better SWR in the upper CW/lower SSB range, replaces the supplied standard radial.

R-2 Radial
80m radial for 3'650 to 3'725kHz for CP-6. For a better SWR in the center SSB range, replaces the supplied standard radial.

DIAMOND CP-5HS

CP-5HS

High power version of CP-6, a little bit shorter, without 80m band.

Antenna for 7, 14, 21, 28 and 50MHz, length only 3.6m, max. power load 500W SSB on 28/50MHz, 400W SSB on 14 & 21 MHz, 200W SSB on 14MHz. As with the CP-6 the radials can be mounted on onde side only. Max. wind speed up to 160km/h.

Just like CP-6 but for bands 40/15/10/6m (4 bands). Length 3.6m, Weight 3 Kg.

DIAMOND CP-8040

CP-8040

Dual band version of CP-6 for 80 and 40m.
Lenmgth only 6.3m, max. power load 200W SSB or 70W FM. Like with the CP-6 the radials can also be mounted on one side only. The length of the radials is 1.8m. Withstands windspeed of up to 130km/h without guying. Weight 4.1kg.

DX-160

Portable vertical antenna for lowbands
Ideal for Dx-peditions etc. The antenna is made of a very light weight aluminum mast with 18m length, two guy wire clamps and 180m guy wires with 3mm diameter. Tarnsport length only 1.5m, total weight only 6 kg. Useful where no palm trees are available to hang a wire antenna... very excellent on low bands. Combined with the small automatic antenna tuner SG-231 it gives an excellent all purposes antenna with excellent results. DF2SS (WiMo) used this antenna in Mayotte (FH) and St.Vincent (J8) with extremely pleasing results.. band changes in less than one second, no retuning required. Spare tubes also available.

Traditional lowcost groundplane antenna. Made of telescopic aluminum tubes which are fixed with stainless steel hose clamps, including solid mast mount. Includes a radial kit of PVC coated copper wire (one radial per band). With more radials the efficiency can be improved further (as with an GP).
