MP-1: Portable antenna for 3.5 to 30MHz, plus 2m/70cm

MP-1

The MP-1 is a universal antenna with 180cm length and max. 150 Watt power load. The center loading coil is adjusted with a sliding tap, just move the outer part of the coil up and down. The antenna has a 3/8" thread bolt for mobile use, suitable for the appropiate base mounts. For use while driving the telescopic part of the antenna should be by the available optional steel whip.
Without the center loading coil the antenna can be used on 2m and 70cm by adjusting the length of the telescope. The standard version covers all bands from 7 to 30MHz, for 80m operations an optional extension coil is available. With option UM-1, RM-1 or TM-1 the antenna has a PL connector.

The antenna is available in four different versions:
MP-1B: Basic model, if an installation option is available. The pure antenna with 3/8" connector below.
MP-1D: Same as MP-1B, but with UM-1 bracket and simple radial kit.
MP-1T: Same as MP-1B, but with tripod TM-1 and simple radial kit.

Radial kit
Consist of a radial from robust teflon cord for the specified bands, complete with plug shoe to be connected to the UM-1 or TM-1. The teflon cord has 41 individual wires, and so a large surface area and not tangled constantly.

HFV-8040 Compact Rotary Dipole for 80 and 40m

HFV-8040 Rotary Dipole

The HFV-8040 is a compact rotary dipole for 80 and 40m, as usual built in the excellent manufacturing quality by Diamond. The antenna is designed as a shortened trap dipole with end capacities. Due to the precise aligment possibilities of the end capacities the minimum SWR position can be tuned very effectively to the required band portion. As with all shortened antennas the useable bandwidth is limited, you have to use a tuner or re-align the antenna. The useable bandwidth without tuner is approx. 25kHz on 80m and 40kHz on 40m.

The relativetly small packing size of only 170cm makes the HFV-8040 also suitable as a vacation antenna or for portable fieldday operations. Installed, the dipole elements are a little bit longer than 5m, the rotating radius is only 3.6m due to the V shaped installation. The weight of the antenna is 7kg, a balun BU-50 is included in the shipment (PL connector). The included mast clamp is suitable for masts from 38 to 60mm diameter.

YP-3 Portable Yagi Shortwave

YP-3

The YP-3 is a portable yagi for operation on shortwave on the bands from 20 to 6m. The 5-part boom ist quickly assembled with snap-on locks, the max. boom length is 3.1m. Mounted to the boom are 3 element holders which receive the elements, mounted with 3/8" threads. The middle element (radiator) has a PL socket, the coax feed is connected directly, without balun.

The elements of the YP-3 consist of 4 part each, also connected by 3/8" threads. In the center of the element coils are installed. The YP-3 includes 12 coils in total, 6 for 20m, 6 for other bands. On 10m and 6m no coils are necessary, the antenna works as a fullsize beam on these bands. The max. element length is 5.6m when operating on 20m.

When changing bands the length of the elements must be adjusted, for 6m also the length of the boom, additionally coils have to be changed on some band changes. The english manual lists all sizes in inch, a steel tape measure marked in ich is included in the shipment.

YP-3

The entire antenna YP-3 fits into a nylon bag with 90cm length. This ensure an easy and safe transport for the vacation, a fieldday or a small dx-pedition. The supplied mast clamp can be used up to a mast diameter of 42mm. The total weight is 5.8kg.

The design goal of the YP-3 portable yagi was a good compromise between bandwidth and gain. The antenna is useable as a fullsize yagi on the lower portion of the 6 band, and covers 28 to 29MHz on 10m. On both bands a veryy good gain and front/back ratio is achieved.

On 12 and 17m the small coils are used, the antenna covers the entire band with good gain and f/b ratio.

The bands 15 and 20m are much larger, here the YP-3 covers only a part of each band. Therefore there are two settings for CW and SSB segments. On 15m the SWR rises at the band edges, this can be compensated by adjusting the element length or with an antenna tuner. Despite it's small size the YP-3 offers a useable directionality and f/b ratio, better than a dipole at same height.

Band change is similiar to the Outbacker antennas, just change the position of a tap lead, precision adjustment is done with a telescopic tuning rod at the top of the antenna. Compact and lightweight portable antenna for shortwave 7 to 52 MHz. The antenna is tuned by moving the tap on the inner coil up and down. This assures a perfect match and a good efficiency of this antenna. Ideal for vacation and portable HF activities.

Miracle Whip: Portable antenna for 7-430 MHz

The Miracle Whip provides a simple and efficient means of improving the performance of you portable HF amateur radio transceiver when compared to the antenna normally supplied with the set. Operation is simplicity itself.
The Miracle Whip has been made as compact as possible, without compromising performance. Just pop it in a bag with your rig when going for a walk in the countryside or take it camping. Enjoy radio in the great outdoors without the hassle of erecting more complex antennas.
Designed with the Yaesu FT 817 and FT 897 in mind, the Miracle Whip can also be used on other low power HF radios up to a maximum output power of 25 watts P.E.P. The Miracle Whip features a 1.8m black whip and a higher Q toroid for even greater performance.

HF Operation
Connect the Miracle Whip directly to the antenna SO239 socket on the rear of your radio. If the radio has a selectable front / rear antenna function don't forget to select the rear socket. Extend the telescopic whip to its maximum length and then position it away from both obstructions and yourself.
Rotate the knob on the rear of the unit to select the desired band of operation between 7Mhz and 50Mhz. The unit is pre-tuned for optimum match on each band so no further adjustment is necessary.
VHF / UHF Operation
For VHF and UHF operation between 50Mhz and 440Mhz the tuning circuit is switched out, the unit becoming a simple whip antenna. It is then necessary to adjust the length of the telescopic whip to obtain the best match on the desired band. This is normally obtained by adjusting the length of the whip to an odd multiple of quarter wavelengths measuring the distance from the PL259 connector on the Miracle Whip.

ATAS-25 Portable antenna

The ATAS-25 utilises a manual tuning system which resonates the radiating element for lowest SWR without the need for expensive mono-band resonating whip assemblies. It allows dual frequency operation on HF or 50MHz and either 2m or 70cm (duplexer not supplied). A very handy feature is that the ATAS-25 is designed to mount directly onto a standard camera tripod mount (not supplied) and makes up a portable antenna system ideal for tempory field operation but not recommended for long-term outdoor installation.

For some models, you may wish to purchase a diplexer or triplexer to avoid moving your cable from one antenna jack to another. When using the ATAS-25 with the FT-817, set Menu #07 to REAR for all bands.

The perfect portable antenna on the go. It's small, lightweight and fits in every case. With just 37cm transport length, it is the best antenna on the go. They can be applied to all shortwave-bands of 80m - 10m and works as a telescopic antenna without tuning coil on 2m and 70cm. The clamp can rotate by 90 °, so the bracket can be mounted horizontal or vertical. At the desired operating frequency, the antenna is adjusted by the tuning on minimum SWR. For operation on 80m, an additional coil is mounted below the tuning coil, which is included.

Nice companion for existing antennas or as a portable antenna. Two different center parts, straight or dual band one, are available. The dual band center part allows two different dipoles to be used the same time on any two bands.

Included with the center part is a short mast tube (500mm x 32mm dia.), allow-ing easy mounting to any vertical mast. Use mast clamps 23001 (not inluded) for easiest installation.

MFJ-1622 portable antenna 40m to 2m

Small and lightweight antenna for restricted space situations and portable operations, works on 40 to 10, 6m and 2m. Use anywhere, on a balcony, on the window sill, on the camper... Collapsed only 57cm long, weight only 1.4kg, fits in onboard air luggage.
The antenna is made of a stainless steel telscope with loading coil, installed on a aluminum bracket. This bracket can be mounted on any surface for easy installation.
Included is a 10m long counterpoise with taps for each band. For operations the loading coil is shortened at certain taps, equally the counterpoise is unrolled to individual markings. Wit hsmall power the SWR can be adjusted precisely. Max. power load is 300 Watt PEP SSB, total length of antenna approx. 180cm.

Diamond RHM-5 / RHV-5 QRP portable antennas

The RHV-5 antenna are useable on 40, 20, 15 10 and 6m, to change bands one element has to exchanged or adjusted. Max. power load 20 Watt, weight only 280 gram, extended length 155cm, collapsed only 60cm. The antenna is equipped with a glass fibre whip, ideal for backpacking. Fits directly on QRP rigs like FT-817, IC-703 or similiar (see picture on the right).

MFJ-Telescopic rod

Giant telescopes from MFJ with 3/8 "connector .. The rods can directly access all standard 3/8" screwed feet. Depending on the length of the bars on different bands are resonant without further coil. Well as quarter-wave antenna, tunable as extension or for any tinkering. Not suitable for driving, not storm-proof ... When closed, the bars are 60-70cm long.
